DCOSS-IoT has always been technically co-sponsored by IEEE Computer Society and IEEE Technical Committee on Parallel Processing (TCPP).

The 20th Annual International Conference on Distributed Computing in Smart Systems and the Internet of Things (DCOSS-IoT 2024) will take place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.The conference intended since its creation to cover several aspects of distributed computing in smartsystems such as high level abstractions and models, systematic design methodologies, signal and information processing, algorithms, analysis and applications. Starting from the 2023 event, DCOSS is broadening its scope beyond sensor networks to smart systems in general as well as the Internet of Things (IoT). The updated name is “Distributed Computing in Smart Systems and the Internet of Things” (DCOSS-IoT).

DCOSS-IoT will host the following 9 confirmed Workshops: Wi-DroIT 2024 (Wireless Sensors and Drones in Internet of Things), IoTI5 2024 (IoT Applications and Industry 5.0), SmaCE 2024 (Workshop on Smart Circular Economy), ISIoT 2024 (Intelligent Systems for the Internet of Things), UrbCom 2024 (Urban Computing), SecRIoT 2024 (Security and Reliability of IoT), DISCOLI 2024 (Distributed Collective Intelligence), LS-NoT 2024 (Long and Short Range Wireless Technologies Applied to IoT for Networks of Tomorrow), IoNT 2024 (International Workshop on Communication Aspects for Internet of Nano Things).
A Special Issue of the Computer Networks (COMNET) Journal will include extended versions of selected best papers of DCOSS-IoT 2024.
DCOSS-IoT 2024 will announce a best paper award and a best poster/demo award.
The TPC Chairs will be Prof. Tommaso Melodia (Northeastern University, USA), Prof. Nathalie Mitton (Inria Lille – Nord Europe) and Prof. Enrico Natalizio (Technology Innovation Institute -TII).
The Local Chairs of DCOSS-IoT 2024 will be Jennifer Simonjan, Michael Baddeley, Lina Bariah and Andrew Chopra (all affiliated with TII).
DCOSS-IoT 2024 will be held in Abu-Dhabi, April 29-May 1, 2024.
